Quarterly
“I paid my state quarterly taxes but completely forgot about the federal ones, will the IRS notify me immediately or wait until I file my return?”
For federal quarterly estimated taxes, the timing of IRS contact often depends on whether a payment was missed, how much was unpaid, and what information the IRS already has from prior filings and account records. In many cases, a notice may not arrive right away and the issue can surface later when a return is filed or when the IRS matches estimated payments against the account. State quarterly payments and federal estimated payments are tracked separately, so a state payment does not usually satisfy the federal side. A CPA who reads your specifics can usually tell you, in plain English, where this lands.
In your 90-minute session, the KGOB advisor handling it will:
- Read your exact situation and tell you, in plain English, what’s actually going on.
- Lay out your options and the trade-offs — no jargon, no judgment.
- Give you a clear next step you can act on, whether that’s with us or on your own.
